My mother is a Danaher, and I grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri, USA. My gg-grandfather, Owen Danaher settled there in 1865. He was born in the area of Kilmeedy and Feenagh, Co. Limerick. in 1837. His parents were John and Johanna Catherine McAuliffe.
